Mentorship
Lincoln Middle School
As stated in our mission, mentorship is a key method we, the SmileForJosh Foundation, use to heighten the self-confidence of our inner-city youth. Each year our board members as well as current and former North Carolina high school basketball stars speak with the student-athletes of Lincoln Middle School.
Our speakers consist of collegiate and professional athletes, corporate businessmen, future lawyers, entrepreneurs, and a variety of other backgrounds, all whom were raised in a similar fashion as the children in the audience. The connections made during the outreach have a lasting effect and we plan to reach more schools in the coming years.
